Made from 100% British Wool, this pack of 5 Garden Pads is a versatile addition to your gardening routine. Some common applications are as follows:

Line your hanging baskets to retain soil whilst allowing water drainage or use as a moisture-retention layer to keep plants, baskets and seeds consistently hydrated throughout the growing season.
The natural fibres provide nutrition for plant root balls and can be incorporated into compost as a nutritional amendment.
Perfect for growing micro greens and micro herbs on a compact scale.
Protect young plants from frost damage with natural insulation, and create a barrier against slugs and other garden pests.
Lay flat as a comfortable kneeling pad whilst working in the garden, or use as capillary matting to wick water upwards to thirsty plants.
Break up the pads and dig directly into soil to improve structure and add organic matter.
Alternatively, use as mulch to suppress weeds and regulate soil temperature.
A sustainable, plastic-free alternative to synthetic fleece and artificial fibres, Hortiwool also provides natural nesting material for garden wildlife.

How Many Do I Need? Each Hortiwool Pad measures 27cm x 66cm. Every pouch contains five pads, covering approximately 0.9 square metres of surface area. Your usage will depend on your chosen application
