Happy. Looks good

"This was the perfect size for the space outside my studio. Really like the 'beehive' look and the plastic pipe that shows the level of water inside (could not find this anywhere else and super useful for me as a potter who needs to enough water available for students). It feels sturdy. I did not use all the connectors, setting up my own water feed system. I also bought a seperate long nosed copper tap. One of the plastic connectors as broken, hence dropping a star, but not needed by me."

Not great for the price

"For the cost, it was not a great experience. I ordered two, upon delivery I immediately noticed both of the lids (which were inside the units) were extremely warped, to the point it took two people to force them on - am hopeful the summer heat now they're fitted will warp them back into shape). For the main product itself, it's a bit lacklustre. The documentation initially seems thorough until you realise it's the same thing over and over in different langauges, the English parts have been translated from German so are not very clear. They don't give a great indication of what size drill bits to use or hole cutters and where. There are generally 3 holes you need to cut, the two lower "tap" holes have pre-formed holes with threads, so you can just drill these out with a 14mm drill bit. The other hole (for water inlet) has another formed hole but it is NOT the size you need to cut out, you actually need to use a hole cutter from the inside - if you do what I did and use it from the outside, you won't be able to fit the corner joint that the gutter pipe attaches to. Ultimate if you make this mistake, you can still just pipe the pipe in without securing it which is fine. The taps come with no markings at all and have 3 positions, left, right and center. There is no indicator for which is open or closed. If you've fitted the water butt to a a wall, you can't even shoot a hole into the rear of the taps to see if water comes out as it's such a small gap. I had to wait for a storm to fill the units, left is open and right is closed - no idea if the centre position actually does anything. The unit comes with a water gauge pipe you fit to the bottom tap, this can be detached from the unit and used to drain the bottom of the tank like a miniature hose pipe (its only a few feet long). Because it's shipped rolled up, it doesn't fit the water butt and will keep falling out because it's curved, again - hoping some heat will let it straighten up over time (also has loads of black printed writing on it, not a big deal but a bit ugly). Lastly, the manual shows 3 different taps amongst 8 different sets of fittings. Only one of the taps matches the description, the others do not so you can't tell if you've got a "fast flow tap" or a "watermatic standard tap", which makes figuring out where everything goes all the more difficult. Several parts of the manual have no English translation (GB) section. So overall, it was a pretty painful experience and not something I'd expect from a German product with a high price tag."

"It looked nice but had a lot of missing parts. Customer service were very helpful and responsive, sending us the missing parts, but we never got the taps working correctly or watertight and had to get a refund. It was a shame as the product had some nice features and was a good size."
