Why we love this product
- Sleek and simple design
- Diverts food waste from landfill
- Produces nutrient rich liquid that can be used as fertiliser
Fit for any kitchen, this stylish Bokashi Bin system will help to transform all your food waste, including meat, fish, cooked food and cheese into nutritious pre-compost.
Bokashi is a Japanese term meaning fermented organic matter. Using the Bokashi method, Bokashi bran containing beneficial bacteria is added to food waste and accelerates the fermentation process.
This twin pack will allow you to have two buckets working at once. When the first bucket is full you can start filling the second bucket, letting the first one ferment for two to three weeks.
The fermented material can then be added to a garden composter or buried in soil to break down and become rich compost.
The kit comes complete with everything you need to get started, including 1kg of our favourite Bokashi Bran, made at Lower Blakemore Farm in Hereford.
Made from recycled plastic.
